Unseen

The buzzing of the wings boomed in Keh's ears as the tips of the blades of grass kept pounding on his face and arms. He could see Alve just inches befor him, driving his beetle through the meadow.

"At least he'll survive," shot through his head.

He was the one in the back. If they could grab someone, it would be him. And he would fight them to the last second. He would do anything to give Alve enough time. They had to warn their people. The queen had to survive.

A strong gust of wind caused his beetle to stumble. Keh pressed himself panicked against the insect. He tried to regain control while a huge shadow fell over him. A high-pitched screech rang out above him before another gust of wind knocked his bug around. As he continued to grip on, he glanced forward. Alve was nowhere to be seen. The only hope was that the turbulence would be better

maneuvered when he had.

Keh gripped the reins tighter. Now it would show whether he would keep all his oaths.
