The book describes Anastasia Kingston's path to break away from her mother. It's not just about her, but her half-siblings and the Conway family, who are close friends of the Kingstons. The fact that Anastasia both meets an attractive man and learns that her family is hiding a great secret is overshadowed by the fact that a stalker has his eyes on her.The Book is written in a soap opera style you have to get used to, but I think the author did a very good job of producing the feeling of a soap.At the beginning I had difficulties finding my way into the story.
The beginning feels rushed and you get a lot of information and a lot of different perspectives to read. Since I have difficulty remembering names, I was a little overwhelmed at the beginning. The writing of the book is very direct. You get a lot of information so that it is not really a mystery what is going on in the background, but it is fun to accompany the characters on their way.I gave the book three stars because I still see more potential. The story may not be for everyone, but the characters are approachable and the light tone makes for a pleasant reading flow. The insight into witchcraft is also well described and understandable even for a person with no knowledge about it.I will definitely get the next part and see how the story unfolds.
